Technical assistance is provided through telephone contacts, correspondence, visits to schools and districts, and workshops conducted at the school and district levels.

Workshops are offered at schools and districts on parental involvement, data collection and evaluation, program implementation, teacher training, and other topics. AALA staff also present at workshops at the state and national levels, and at many professional organizations.

Assistance is provided to districts in writing Grant Proposals to the USDOE, and in the implementation of funded projects.

AALA maintains and has available listings of ESOL, bilingual and foreign language contacts in Florida, as well as of parent and professional organizations.

AALA's Resource Center contains teacher resource materials and culturally authentic materials - Books, Videos, Audiotapes, and Filmstrips - in English, and in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.
