 1997/98 LEP Student Data

State Summary of 1997/98 Data on Language Enriched Pupils (LEP)

These pages provide a State level synopsis of data on Language Enriched Pupils (LEP) and non-LEP students for the 1997/98 school year (August 1997 through July 1998). All data is provided by the school districts through the Florida Department of Education Automated Student Information Data Base with the exception of the information on Magnet schools and programs, which was obtained by surveying each school district. In the past we have limited our data to the Vital Signs schools, however, in keeping with the Department's policy to report on the status of all students, this report includes all PK-12 and grade 23 (those completing requirements for graduation) students, including those in Exceptional Student Centers and Alternative Education Schools. Individual reports are available for each district; to obtain these reports please contact AALA at Also available is a Guide to Calculations detailing specifics on criteria used in all calculations.
