State Summary of 1995/96 Data on Limited English Proficient
(LEP)/English Language Learner (LEP/ELL) Students

This data was compiled from the 1995/96 Annual Status report on the implementation of the 1990 League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Decree produced by the Office of 1990 League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) et al. v. State Board of Education Consent Decree produced by the Office of Academic Achievement through Language Acquisition (AALA) in April of 1997. This report provides data on current LEP/ELL students (LY or LN), former LEP/ELL students (LF), pending LEP/ELL students (LP), LEP/ELL students that have completed the two-year follow up period (LZ) and on Non-LEP/ELL students (ZZ) for comparative purposes. All the data in this report is from the 1995/96 school year and includes data provided by the school districts through the Florida Department of Education Automated Student Information Data Base from Survey 3 (February 1996) and Survey 5 (August 1996).
