Hundreds of beautiful pinwheels line the campus of Thornebooke Elementary School as students wish for and share "Whirled Peace" for International Day of Peace 2012

Thornebrooke students created their own "Pinwheels for Peace" in celebration of the 2012 International Day of Peace. The pinwheels were on display during the schools' open house ceremonies on Thursday. Many students wrote messages and quotes on their pinwheels to express their thoughts and feelings about peace in the world. Students took their pinwheels home after the open house to place in their front yard.
