Seminole School Wins Video Contest

Casselberry Elementary is one of Seminole County's older schools and lacks the technology that some others have. That's why the school is especially appreciative of a $5,000 cash prize it has won from Big Lots stores toward improving technology.
The school was among 37 winners in a contest where schools from across the country submitted a video saying why they needed money and how they would spend it. You can watch Casselberry's video, in which the school makes a plea for improving technology. (You'll have to sort down through the entries to find Casselberry's video, but will happen across other local entrants as well.)
This was one of those contests decided by voting, so apparently local supporters did a lot of voting.
And Casselberry Elementary did really well. It didn't win the $20,000 grand prize or one of two $10,000 first places. But it did snag one of the four second prizes - and the cash.
