Armwood High Senior Wins Perfect Car for Perfect Attendance

Hillsborough County Schools

Armwood High School senior Brenna McPhee won a brand new 2012 Scion XD car on Saturday when she drew the winning car key during the Perfect Car for Perfect Attendance event held at Toyota of Tampa Bay.

Brenna, 17, who is headed to Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall with plans to study biology, was the seventh name drawn by Hillsborough County School Board chair Candy Olson. More than 200 recently graduated students who had perfect attendance during the second semester of their just-completed senior year attended the event for a chance to select one of 10 keys from a fishbowl and see if that key opened the door and fit the ignition of the 2012 Scion XD.

The eligible students, their parents, and friends filled a set of bleachers on the Toyota of Tampa Bay car lot on Fletcher Avenue.

The event, sponsored by Toyota of Tampa Bay, was an incentive for students to faithfully attend school.
