Florida State College at Jacksonville Linking Services to Improve Graduation Rates

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the National League of Cities recently announced Florida State College at Jacksonville, in collaboration with the City of Jacksonville, as one of seven organizations awarded a grant to boost college graduation rates by improving coordination between colleges, schools and cities. The $250,000 grant is part of a National League of Cities initiative to help explore new and better ways to streamline services for low-income young adults attending Florida State College at Jacksonville, the University of North Florida, Jacksonville University and Edward Waters College. The Learning to Succeed collaborative initiative will work to increase student readiness for, and raise enrollment in, postsecondary education, provide support for students while enrolled and increase degree completion.
