Panama City Middle School Wins National First Place Award for Journalism Project

A cartoon-covered book titled Hornet Action Tales brought home a national First Place award for Jinks Middle School in Panama City. The American Scholastic Press Association judged the book in categories that included writing, photography, layout, interpretation and implementation of theme.

Hornet Action Tales included stories of students who had excelled in an activity during the year, such as the state 100-meter races as well as swimming competitions.

This is the second national first place award for the school in this competition.
