The Access Task Force (ATF) is a lay board representing K-20 constituent groups and members who are appointed by the Chairpersons of the State Board of Education and the Board of Governors.
The Task Force’s purpose is to explore, consider and recommend policies for meeting the growing demand for access to quality higher education in Florida by assessing current and expected capacity of public and private delivery system and institutions.
At a minimum, the ATF is expected to meet monthly through December 2005, in conjunction with either State Board of Education or Board of Governors’ meetings. The organizational meeting of the ATF was on June 20, 2005 in Orlando, where the Council received its mission and began its charge. All meetings of the ATF were open to the public and were staffed by Department of Education employees.
