Dear Colleagues,

This site is intended to provide information and clarification about education legislation and Florida Department of Education programs affecting teachers. Teachers will have the opportunity to learn about state level education initiatives and give meaningful feedback via communication with me, the Florida Department of Education’s new Teacher Liaison.

This web page is just the beginning in opening direct communication between you and your Department of Education. By the time the new school year begins, you will have the opportunity to have a direct impact on educational policy in Florida via responding to surveys on this website, taking part in round table discussions and serving on regional discussion panels. In addition, the “resource links” section contains links to professional resources and important information for all teachers, as well as opportunities for professional enrichment.

Keep in mind that I am available to you all summer long. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding state level education initiatives and programs, as well as suggestions for forums that you would like to see on this web page. Check back during the summer as I continue to expand this site and add new features.
