Interagency Pilots, Projects and Programs
- Transition Systems Integration Model (TSIM) – This research based program which blends services and braids funding via a single private provider (hybrid), is a unified effort by all three service systems (local education authority, vocational rehabilitation and developmental disabilities program) that are equally but independently responsible for transition. - Tiers for Data Sharing - The idea of the “Tiers” is to provide an organizing framework for data so that it can be viewed, understood, and acted upon by managers at all levels. (Link to PowerPoint)
- Partners in Transition (PIT) - Spearheaded by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. , the purpose and mission of PIT is to implement at a local level the 4-year strategic plan created to “guide policymakers and practitioners in systematically addressing the major challenges and critical issues regarding transition services in the State of Florida.
- College Transition Experience – (under construction)
- Florida Division of Blind Services (DBS) - The goal of the DBS school-to-work , transition program is to assist young people in transitioning from school to work or from school to a higher educational program.
