Mission

  • The Office of Interagency Programs works in concert with other Florida Agencies, Divisions and Bureaus of agencies, local school districts, post secondary institutions and private providers to develop programs to ensure alignment and efficiency in services and programs which assist persons with disabilities to achieve their self-determined quality-of-life goals.

Goals

  • Identify opportunities and create avenues to better align services to students and clients with disabilities served by Florida agencies, divisions and bureaus of agencies and private providers.
  • Identify and coordinate cooperative training, contracting and other collaborative opportunities.
  • Collaborate with public school superintendents, presidents of postsecondary institutions and directors of adult rehabilitation divisions to align and coordinate services for students with disabilities as they prepare for postsecondary education and career.
  • Seek federal and private funding for collaborative projects, pilots and service programs to break new ground for services to students and clients.
  • Identify needs for additional programs that can be supported by one or more divisions.
