  • Mentoring/Student Assistance Initiatives
  • Academic Tourney - This grant supports two annual academic tournaments, including year-round preparation activities. The competition subject matter includes language arts, the fine arts, foreign language, the humanities, mathematics, science, social studies and technology.
  • Web-Based Instruction - The primary purpose of the project is to improve student performance by developing a web-based instructional program that must integrate the Sunshine State Standards. Priorities include development of the program to enhance educational instruction designed to improve student performance and address unmet needs of low performing students in dropout recovery programs or summer school programs for students previously expelled or suspended from Florida public schools.
  • Professional Opportunities Program for Students (POPS) - The Professional Opportunities Program for Students program provides 16-18 year old at-risk high school students with instruction and activities that develop educational, career and work readiness, life management and citizenship skills. In addition, the program provides assistance to improve grades, develop positive behavior & discipline.
