The Dietetic Internship Program
Application Requirements
- Official Verification of Completion of the ADA Dietetic Program
requirements, or a completed Declaration of Intent to Complete Degree,
and/or CADE - Approved Minimum Academic Requirements form available from your
academic advisor.
- Letter describing the applicant's career goals and how they relate to the
Internship.
- Official transcripts. Applicant points for rankings begin at grade point
averages of 2.75.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Complete application form due by postmark deadline of February 15.
The Internship program will follow deadlines established by CADE.
- Select final applicants will be contacted for a telephone interview.
Admission Requirements
- Proof of a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
or university. A final transcript or letter from registrar indicating degree
is conferred can be provided.
- Proof of current medical liability, health, and automobile insurance
and a recent physical exam (outlined in intern packet) is needed.
- A completed criminal background check by state and federal law enforcement
agencies.
Completion Requirements
For satisfactory completion of the program, all required assignments,
projects, curricula, rotation objectives, case studies, presentations,
and exams must be met with satisfactory performance. Compliance with agency
and section policies and procedures is also required. Additionally, interns
must demonstrate behaviors consistent with the "Code of Ethics for the Profession
of Dietetics," providing quality customer service, and favorable employability
skills.
