DOE Seeks Feedback for Teaching and Leadership Workshops
The Florida Department of Education (DOE) is seeking your input to help facilitate discussions during the new “What’s Working in Effective Teaching and Leadership” workshop series. The meetings, hosted by the Florida State Board of Education and DOE, are open workshops for parents, teachers, and school administrators, among others, to share ideas and concerns on important educational topics including instructional practices, leadership, professional development and teacher quality. The first workshop on Sept. 13th will focus on the topic of “value added models,” which refer to ways of measuring the overall contributions that a teacher makes toward a student’s learning gains over the course of a year.
