Endowed Scholarships
- Bank of America "Dream Makers" scholarship was established in November 1998 through a generous contribution of $1 million from Bank of America and matched equally by the State of Florida through the Dr. Philip Benjamin Matching Program creating a $2 million endowment. The earnings from the endowment are awarded to first-generation students annually to cover tuition, books, fees and childcare.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida Nursing and Allied Health scholarship was established in March 2004 through a generous contribution of $2.5 million and equally matched by the State of Florida through the Dr. Philip Benjamin Matching Program crating a $5 million endowment. Earning from the $5 million endowment last year provided scholarships to 455 students.
- Helios Education Foundation scholarship was created in December 2006. This $9 million endowment provides scholarships to first-generation college students. The scholarship gives preferences to those students pursuing a degree in education. Last year this scholarship served 531 students.
