Presenters who will not stay for the conference will not be assessed a registration fee. Presenters who plan to attend other conference sessions must register. If you have administrators, staff, or faculty who could serve as would be valuable as presenters please encourage them to submit a proposal. If they leave the conference, there will be no fee associated. If presenters plan to stay the duration of the conference, they will be required to complete the on-line registration and pay the $175 registration fee.

What is Achieving the Dream?

Achieving the Dream (AtD) is a multiyear national initiative to help community college students succeed. The initiative is particularly focused on student groups that traditionally face significant barriers to success, including minority and low-income students.

Too many students leave community colleges without earning a certificate or degree, or without transferring to continue their studies. Consequently, they risk losing the opportunity to earn a livable wage. Students who complete courses and earn credentials, can improve their lives, earn better wages, and ultimately become more productive contributors to our state and country.

Through a grant from the Lumina Foundation for Education, Florida’s four Achieving the Dream community colleges (Broward, Hillsborough, Tallahassee, and Valencia) are working to improve the success of developmental education students.
