2007 PTK All-Florida Academic Team Announced

I am pleased to announce that the 2007 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Florida Academic Team has been named. This year’s team includes 110 students representing Florida’s 28 public community colleges, one independent two-year college, and one independent university.

This distinction is bestowed upon these students in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership, and service to the community. They will be honored at a luncheon and awards ceremony in Tallahassee, Florida, on Thursday, March 22, 2007. Additionally, they will be recognized by the Florida Legislature and other state leaders at the Capitol. Invitations and details of those events will be mailed directly to the college presidents and to students named to the 2007 All-Florida Academic Team.

The All-Florida Academic Team is composed of all those students who were nominated by their respective colleges to the All-USA Academic Team competition sponsored by USA Today and PTK International Honor Society. We will be notified in late February if any of our Florida students are named to the 2007 All-USA Academic Team.
