2002-03 EETT Part II Interim Report Requirements

Districts awarded one (or more) 2002-03 NCLB:EETT Part II competitive projects are expected to submit the following information to address the interim program reporting requirement:

STEP 1. Provide status information for each “OBJECTIVES and BENCHMARKS CHART” approved in conjunction with a EETT Part II competitive project. Insert one of the following statements just under the description of each numbered “OBJECTIVE” associated with the specific “GOAL/FOCUS AREA” identified with a particular chart:

  • ON TRACK WITH PROJECTED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE
  • PROJECTED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE WAS NOT PRACTICAL, BUT EXPECT OBJECTIVE TO BE ACHIEVED FOLLOWING AN ADJUSTED SCHEDULE
  • OBJECTIVE AS DESCRIBED IS NOT BEING IMPLEMENTED (explanation must be included if this statement is used)

Insert a new row into the “OBJECTIVES AND BENCHMARKS CHART” (between the first and second rows). Type INTERIM STATUS in the FIRST COLUMN of the new row to identify the contents. The other columns in the row will contain one of the statements selected from the bulleted list provided. See example provided below:

GOAL/FOCUS AREA:
XXXX
Objective 1:
xxxxx
Objective 2:
xxxxxx
Objective 3:
xxxxxx
INTERIM STATUS ON TRACK WITH PROJECTED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE PROJECTED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE WAS NOT PRACTICAL, BUT EXPECT OBJECTIVE TO BE ACHIEVED FOLLOWING AN ADJUSTED SCHEDULE ON TRACK WITH PROJECTED IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE

STEP 2. Provide an updated COST AREA BUDGET PROJECTION CHARTfollowing the same layout and structure as was approved for the project. This requirement can be met by adding a column (called INTERIM STATUS) to the original COST AREA chart (submitted with the EETT Part II application) and providing an estimate for the amount of funds expended and/or encumbered as of the date the report is submitted. At a minimum, SUBTOTALS for the three main COST AREAS (TECH RESOURCE SUBTOTAL, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SUBTOTAL, ADMIN SUBTOTAL) and a GRAND TOTAL must be provided. If it is practical to provide line by line estimates, that information would certainly strengthen the interim report. Line by line estimates are not absolutely required to meet minimum interim reporting requirements.

EETT PART II interim reportsare due not later than November 7, 2003 (per DOE200 award notice guidance)!
They may be forwarded as an MSWORD e-mail attachment to .

Alternatively, EETT PART II interim reports may be mailed to:

Office of Educational Technology
C/O Charles Proctor
1101 Turlington Building
325 West Gaines Street
Tallahassee, FL 32399-0400

NOTE: This information provides the basic guidance necessary to allow subgrantees to prepare and submit interim EETT Part II program reports. A report template will not be posted to the OET/IT/EETT website, but a copy of the 2002 RFP is sill posted (should district staff need access to the original MSWORD page formats).
