Cross Bayou Receives National Recognition

Congratulations to Cross Bayou Elementary for being one of 10 schools in the country to win the National Schools of Character Award from the Character Education Partnership (CEP). The award recognizes K-12 schools and districts demonstrating outstanding character education initiatives that yield positive results in student behavior, school climate and academic performance. Cross Bayou will receive a $2,000 cash award and national recognition, will be featured in CEP's annual National Schools of Character publication and on the CEP website, and will be honored during the CEP 13th National Forum, "From Positive Character Development to Academic Achievement: Challenges and Successes," Oct. 26-28, in Arlington, Va.
