Food and Nutrition ManagementFood and Nutrition Management is responsible for managing funds from the USDA for child nutrition programs in the state of Florida. This web site includes staff information, FAQs, technical assistance documents, the program’s newsletters, and a listing of nutrition education and foodservice materials available for loan.
Office of Safe Schools
This program administrates the federal Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program in the state of Florida through the administration and distribution of Title IV funds which are used for K-12 school-based substance abuse and violence prevention programs. This site includes a state district coordinator’s directory, data reports, district profiles, events, legislation, publications, and loan materials.
Student Support Services
This project is responsible for providing technical assistance, training and resources to Florida school districts and state agencies in matters related to the student support areas of school psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, and school-to-work.
Florida Department of Health Links
School Health Services, Florida Department of HealthFlorida School Health Services are a public service provided to students in PreK through 12th grade. School health staff is composed mostly of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and health aides. 2001, 2003, and 2005 Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) Reports
The Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Education provide organizational structure and processes for the survey and collection of information for the YRBS. The information obtained from this survey supports schools and other local community agencies and organizations serving Florida’s youth. The data is then utilized to appropriately design and implement programs that prevent drug use, provide healthy environments, and support a delivery of educational services to youth.

The Healthy Florida Foundation is a working group of Florida organizations that was formed to explore ways that would enable business, health and community leaders to contribute to finding long-term solutions that address fundamental challenges of the health care delivery system in Florida.
